Avril Kavanagh, B.Comm, MBS , BA Counselling & Psychotherapy, Dip. Clinical Supervison, MIACP, MIAHIP
Avril Kavanagh completed a Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy in Dublin Business School in 2008, where she achieved first-class honors. She was also awarded with the privilege of Student of the Year for her success in this field.
Prior to training and working as a psychotherapist, Avril initially studied Commerce, Accounting, and a Masters in Business Studies, Human Resource Management, in UCD.
She worked as a management consultant for seven years before joining a banking organization where she worked in Human Resources for five years. She has 16 years' experience working with people in this field. She is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). She also completed her clinical supervision training and is a fully qualified supervisor with IACP. Avril is currently undertaking a Certificate in Sport Psychology and Performance in IADT which links in with her love of sport and a Diploma in Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy (IACP accredited). Avril is married with three children.
